I thought it might be better to set up a page where I can review or recommend any products or services that I personally use myself.

I use twitter quite a lot as you can see from my recent posts and love the interactivity and immediacy of it. However now I have over 7,000 followers (at the time of this post) with anything from 100 to 200 new ones every day it can be difficult to manage my conversations with people. I use a couple of great apps that make my Twitter experience a lot easier and more fun so here are a couple of reviews for you to have a look at.

I love TweetDeck for many reasons. The first reason is that it is free as it is in beta testing but I am sure once that is over there will be a small charge for using it – but I will buy it as it works so well for my interactions with everyone. As I am typing this a little notification box popped up in the right hand top corner of my screen telling me that I had a new direct message. I also get notifications of mentions by my followers – for example if they have RT’d (retweeted) my tweets or have just wanted to talk to me!

I really couldn’t do without TweetDeck now and hope you give it a try to see what I mean. I have used other API’s but I think you just get used to one and stick with it really.

I also get a lot of RT’s from people throughout the night when I am asleep and it would be difficult to track these without something like TweetDeck. One of the first things I do in the morning before starting work is to check my RT’s and then thank them all. It takes a few minutes but I believe it is worth it as it keeps a nice relationship going between us all.

The next twitter app I use is Tweet Adder.

This software is the best twitter app I have found to date.

Only yesterday I added 529 new followers over 4 twitter accounts with 199 of them on my main account at Pearlydean. Of course there is no substitute for interaction and I get new followers from my jokes and quotes and also conversations with people – but I have been tracking my twitter stats for a few weeks now and Tweet Adder is the business!

The one thing I don’t want is to be followed by people who are not interested in my tweets and vice versa. This is where Tweet Adder comes into its own as far as I am concerned as you can follow people by interests.

I am learning how to use the new video software package I bought recently – Camtasia Studio – and am using it to create a short video to show you how to increase your followers using these methods so you only get the people you want to be following you! Be patient with me as I have only just got the software and there is a bit of a learning curve!
